Carol Ghattas

Growing up, I was surrounded in a very musical environment. My parents always had some form of music playing around me, consistently. So much so, that music was the way I retained information. Whenever I had an assignment at school where I had to memorise then recite a paragraph, I found adding a vocal melody to it made it easier for me to remember.

During primary to secondary school, I began joining choirs. I loved to sing and when given the chance to sing with other people, the chance to harmonize my voice with others, I took it. Then as I reached high school, I decided to finally commit to my passion and start taking classes, to get certified by trinity. There wasn't a specific moment that caused this epiphany. Rather, it was the motivation of the people close to me such as family, friends, and peers that motivated me to fall in headfirst.
